I enjoy playing bluegrass and classic country music. I have been playing the resophonic guitar for about 20 years. In 2010 I started thinking of purchasing a new guitar and I was looking for a certain sound similar to the old dobro sound, but with the power and sustain of the newer post design guitars. I found many instruments that fit the bill but the cost was way out of my price range. So I decided to attempt to build my own. This proved to be more difficult than I had thought. With many trials and errors, I finally came up with a quality instrument that had the sound that I was looking for. It was then I decided I would start building guitars for other people. I wanted to provide a guitar that was a high quality instrument with a great sound at an affordable price. I have achieved that. Each Pitt Resophonic Guitar is built entirely by me, by hand from the first step of the process to the last.
